eApps Hosting Announces Launch of Outlook/Exchange Compatible Email Service

Dear Customers and Prospective Customers,
Our Scalix Enterprise Email service has been launched! Here is an overview of the service, with links providing more details. The first thing to know is there are two user types:
Standard - Basically this is a POP/IMAP mail user. It has a nice web interface and supports personal calendar but no "groupware" or collaboration features such as shared calendar, free time search etc. This is generally for clerical staff.
Premium - Offers full Outlook functionality. Does everything the Standard user does, plus groupware and more. Everything you would expect Outlook to do on an Exchange server you will get here. Supports over the air synchronization of mail, contacts, calendar just like Exchange/Outlook using ActiveSync wireless push technology. A Blackberry connector for over the air synch is in Beta. This type of user is for your professional staff.
We offer the Scalix Outlook compatible Enterprise Email hosting service in two flavors. Our support is identical for both flavors.
1) Per user per month - This approach is easiest and simplest. You have an admin screen to add, remove and manage users and we bill you at the end of each month. The cost is $5 per month for a "Standard" user and $9 per month for a Premium user. You get a disk allowance per user which is aggregated for your domain. There is an additional fee of $2.50 per month per user for the "over the air" wireless ActiveSync feature.
2) Managed Private VPS approach - With the approach you will get a Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting plan with a private Scalix mail server installed using the Community license. The community license supports 10 Premium users and unlimited Standard Users. It does not support the "over the air" ActiveSync feature. You have an option to purchase the commercial licenses. We will obtain and install the license for you. You own the licenses and can take them with you. There are six levels of VPS plans. We provide guidelines and assistance as to which plan to choose.
