Release Notes - GlassFish


This document will provide GlassFish release notes for all operating systems offered by eApps. Please see the section specific to the operating system of your subscription. To get the operating system of your subscription take the steps below.

Log into your Control Panel > click My Account tab > Subscriptions > click the Name of the subscription (with type Virtuozzo Container)> the operating system is listed on the Server section of the page.

CentOS 5
The latest version available on CentOS 5 plans is 2.1.1

How to upgrade
- Log into your Control Panel > Click System Tab > All Applications > GlassFish > Upgrade To Latest

Note: The upgrade will take about 5 to 10 minutes and the GlassFish server will need to be restarted after the upgrade to reload the admin console.  In about 5 to 10 minutes open your browser and browse to http://yourdomain.com:4848, and you should see a HTTP Status 500.  This is an indication that the upgrade is complete and the server needs to be restarted to reload the admin console.

- Log into you Control Panel > Click System Tab > Under Service Management Click Services > glassfish > Restart

How to upgrade
- Schedule downtime for your application

- Log into your Control Panel > Click System Tab > All Applications > GlassFish > Upgrade To Latest

CentOS 4 and Fedora Core
GlassFish is not available on CentOS 4 and Fedora Plans.
If you would like to use GlassFish, you can migrate to a CentOS 5 plan. For migration details please send a request to support@eapps.com.
