Java technology, including Java Server Pages (JSP) and servlets, is widely used and can be deployed using royalty free, open source software, making it very economical. Since it is readily available at no cost, there are a large number of programmers with Java skills. Java is also efficient and scalable. Many of the world's busiest web sides use Java on the server side.
