Using Docker
Docker is a container-based virtualization platform that enables developers to build, ship and run applications on any server where Docker is running. Docker containers are lightweight, open, and secure, which enables them to run on multiple operating systems. Because Docker containers are portable, you can move your applications into production faster by taking advantage of Docker’s build once, run anywhere capability.
There are two main components of Docker:
- Docker Engine - the virtualized container technology.
- Docker Hub - a repository for managing Docker container images.
More information about Docker can be found here - About Docker.
