eApps now offers MySQL 4.1.13a. This version, along with intermediate updates to the previous version 4.1.8 offered, contains new features, bug fixes, performance enhancements, and security fixes. We recommend that customers running any prior version of MySQL 4 upgrade to this version.

Upgrading
The upgrade of MySQL is generally an easy process. As always, make a backup of your databases before upgrading to ensure that your data is secure in the event of a mishap in the upgrade process. Please follow the Upgrade Procedures at http://support.eapps.com/hsp/upgrades.
To upgrade to MySQL 4.1.13a from an older version you will need to FIRST un-install your current version of MySQL and then SECOND install the MySQL 4.1.13a package. This can be done from the All Applications button on the System Tab of your Control Panel.
